Wallace Group is a community of talented people led by a multi-discipline group of professionals. Here is an introduction to the Wallace Group Management Team:

JOHN L. WALLACE, PE
Principal, President

John is founder and Chairman of the Board of Wallace Group, a company he started on his own and which now has more than 80 employees. He is responsible for general operations of the company and he oversees engineering and management of key projects. John takes an active interest in his Clients and their goals. His strong communication skills and concern for people make him an effective leader for both project teams and the company.

 

BRAD R. BRECHWALD, PE, PLS
Principal, CEO

Brad serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Wallace Group. He manages the overall firm and helps to plan its future direction and growth. He also guides the planning, design process, and project teams for large residential, commercial and mixed use private land development projects. He holds both civil engineering and surveying credentials and his focus, drive and leadership ability are evident in all stages of our Client’s projects.

 

TOM ZEHNDER, PE
Principal, COO

Tom serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Wallace Group. He manages the internal day-to-day activities of the firm and focus on organization planning and financial operations. He also directs both the Mechanical Engineering and Public Works Administration Divisions. He provides project management and coordination as well as engineering design services for a variety of municipal and private projects. Tom’s background is unusually diverse in that it ranges from working for Fortune 500 energy companies to representing public agencies. He has worked on oil refinery and pipeline projects as well as water and wastewater treatment systems. He has also supported public agencies in the planning and development of public projects.

 

CRAIG A. CAMPBELL, PE, PLS, LEED AP
Principal, Vice President

Craig is one of the managing partners of Wallace Group, focusing on quality assurance and quality control. Craig is a registered civil engineer and land surveyor and also has mechanical engineering experience and is able to bring this diversity of skills to his work at Wallace Group. In addition to his design work, he directs the training and quality assurance programs, provides project management, and establishes engineering design standards for the company.

 

ROBERT S. MILLER, PE
Principal Engineer, Vice President

Rob is one of the managing partners of Wallace Group, focusing his attention on the company training program, Wallace University, as well as the company’s Water Resources Division. He oversees large multi-discipline efforts and directs staff responsible for a wide range of projects. Water and wastewater systems are Rob’s professional passion. His thorough knowledge of engineering design, practical application, and operations allow him to successfully manage projects at many different phases.

 

JORGE AGUILAR, PE
Principal Engineer

Jorge serves as one of the managing partners of Wallace Group, with a wide array of interests he's responsible for overseeing Business Development activities for all our disciplines. He's a specialist in transportation planning and design, with work experience ranging from that of a large corporate environment to work experience for public agencies including Caltrans. His skill set includes not only Project Management and technical know-how for delivery of large multi-disciplinary projects, but also the interagency coordination for many state and local agencies. Jorge is adept at public involvement activities for both project specific efforts and for programmatic efforts. He's served in many statewide appointments for professional and volunteer positions such as for the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies and as a Governor’s Appointee to the State Council on Developmental Disabilities. Jorge is a hands on Project Manager and has a professional passion for client service and project delivery as well as mentorship and community service.

 

SCOTT BRUCE
Director of Planning and Landscape Architecture

Scott directs the Planning Division and brings over 30 years of professional experience to his role. His background in private land development and public sector work has given him a wealth of experience and he brings a great blend of creativity and real world understanding to a project. Scott’s holistic view allows him to evaluate and direct projects from a variety of perspectives, strengthening our range of offerings to public and private Clients alike.

 

DACÉ MORGAN, PE
Director of Civil Engineering
Interim Director of Construction Management

Dacé serves as the Director of our Civil Engineering Group and also as the Interim Director of our Construction Management Group. Dacé has a diverse background in the civil engineering arena, she’s worked as both a design and construction engineer for large and small consulting firms as well as a public agency engineer and manager. She has represented constituents and agency interests in a variety of settings.  As a former Deputy Director of Transportation for the County of Santa Barbara, Dacé has invaluable experience working with regulatory agencies, Boards and Commissions, citizen and special interest groups which will be of great value to all of our Clients. She received her BS in Civil Engineering from UC Davis, and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from UC Berkeley. Her focus will be on design, project management, mentoring staff, and quality control. Dacé also contributes to our business development efforts—especially with public agencies and with an emphasis on Transportation Infrastructure.

 

JOE MORRIS, PLS
Director of Surveying

Joe directs the company’s Surveying Division, which, in addition to providing services to individual Clients also supports other Wallace Group projects. He provides project management on all surveying and mapping projects and directs the field crews and survey office staff. Joe is a hands-on manager with extensive field and office experience who can map out the smoothest path for any development project.

 

STEVEN TANAKA, PE
Director of Water Resources

Steve leads the company’s work in water, recycled water and wastewater systems. In addition to his detailed design work, he is an invaluable member of the committee that establishes company-wide standards and specifications. Steve has worked on projects all over the southwest for agencies ranging from major metropolitan areas to small community service districts, giving him the ability to handle projects both large or small.

 

KATHY REDDEN, PHR
Human Resources Manager

Wallace Group’s Human Resources Department strives to continuously improve communication and the knowledge/availability of resources throughout the company. Kathy is responsible for the training and benefit programs at Wallace Group. As the training coordinator Kathy arranges for internal technical and leadership programs through Wallace University. She handles the administration of benefits for Wallace Group employees including health care, 401k, etc. Kathy is certified as a Professional in Human Resources through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCA). She is a member of the Human Resources Association of the Central Coast (HRACC) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
