Wallace Group is a full service civil engineering firm that provides solutions for all of your transportation infrastructure needs.  Beginning in 2010, Wallace Group began putting together a team to specifically address the Transportation needs of public agencies and private clients.  Jorge Aguilar, the Principal-in-Charge of our Transportation team, brings over 24 years of transportation expertise to our group.

Feasibility studies, project study reports, project initiation documents, project reports, and complete plan, specification and estimate (PS&E) packages for various types of transportation infrastructure are some of the many services provided by our Transportation group.  Some of our previous projects consist of freeway interchanges, roundabouts, road widenings, intersection reconfigurations, streetscape designs, bike and pedestrian paths, and pavement rehabilitation.

Wallace Group also brings a keen understanding of the Caltrans Project Development Process to our clients.  Our staff has worked with Caltrans staff in 9 of the 12 districts across the State.  Our strong relationship with Caltrans allows us to better assist our clients with items such as encroachment permits, haul permits, and overall facilitation of projects with Caltrans oversight.

Funding can be one of the biggest challenges in implementing transportation improvements projects.  Wallace Group has a thorough understanding of the various Federal and State Transportation funding programs and requirements.  Our staff has experience working for MPO’s, cities, and counties throughout the Central Coast.  This experience provides our public clients with a unique insight on how to best utilize the limited funding available for both Transportation Capital Improvement projects as well as Capital Maintenance projects.
