Grover Beach, CA – Wallace Group provided Construction Management services for the $1 million Streetscape Improvement Project along West Grand Avenue between 8th and 11th Streets. The construction included new ADA compliant ramps, decorative and colored concrete intersection treatments, sidewalk repairs, center island medians, irrigation, landscaping for new and future improvements, electrical for street lights, structural repairs to the pavement along West Grand Avenue, Type II Slurry Seal and striping. Our services consisted of, but were not limited to: Traffic control, Pedestrian detours, construction of new center medians, accessible corner ramps, enhanced concrete sidewalks and roadway, irrigation, landscaping, decorative lighting, pavement repairs, type II slurry seal and striping. Public relations, monitoring and enforcing jobsite safety continued to be an important role during construction. Cost management, attention to work schedules, timely notifications were also vital to the success of the project. This Federally Funded Project was administered by the Wallace Group Team to meet all of Caltrans Local Assistance and FHWA requirements. Upon completion an audit was performed by both Caltrans Local Assistance and the Federal Administration. Both agencies were thoroughly impressed with Wallace Group’s comprehensive record keeping and detailed documentation. As a result, the City of Grover Beach received all the allocated federal funds.
