Bob Jones Trail at Prado Road April 9th, 2015

San Luis Obispo, CA – Wallace Group engineering staff has recently completed 100% PS&E documents for the north connection of Bob Jones Trail. We will be providing a separate, car-free crossing over San Luis Obispo Creek. The Creek will be spanned by a 120-foot pre-fabricated steel bridge and the trail is 450 feet in length. The existing site is hampered by poor fill conditions along the creek which required close coordination with structural and geotechnical engineers to provide an adequate, but cost effective bridge design. A recently constructed portion of the trail at Prado Road required minor title clarification to correct the recently completed bike path project. Wallace Group’s right-of-way services were contracted by the City to meet with the Owner and remedy the title matter. A portion of the trail was built outside of the City’s easement on the neighboring Prado Road property, thus requiring right-of-way services. As part of Wallace Group’s right-of-way services, our Survey Department prepared a legal description and exhibit for attachment to the required instrument, an offer to dedicate form.
