The San Diego Zoo Safari Park October 12th, 2020

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park, is an 1,800 acre zoo in the San Pasqual Valley area of San Diego, California and one of the largest tourist attractions in San Diego County. Wallace Group is part of a design-build team that is installing a wastewater treatment plant. The plant’s main purpose is to process domestic sewage from the park’s guests and staff. The Safari Park also performs surgery on their animals at their own veterinary hospital onsite, so the design had to account for large quantities of disinfection chemicals used before, during, and after surgeries on the larger animals in the park’s veterinary hospital. Wallace Group is about one year into the project and we are expected to finish by the new year.
